Vocabulary

  1. Consternation: Noun,  A sudden, alarming amazement or dread that results in utter confusion; dismay.
  2. Cower: Verb, To crouch, as in fear or shame.
  3. Neutralize: Verb, To counteract or cancel the effect of.
  4. Synchronize: Verb, To match the time of.
  5. Vigilance: Noun, Alert attention, watchfulness.
  6. Wince: Verb, To shrink or flinch involuntarily, especially in pain
  7. Furtive: Adjective, Taken, done, used, etc., surreptitiously or by stealth; secret.  
  8. Recompose: Verb, To restore to composure or calmness.
  9. Doctrine: Noun, A particular principle, position, or policy taught or advocated, as of a religion or government.
  10. Heritage: Noun, Something that comes or belongs to one by reason of birth; an inherited lot or portion.
